New Zealand: Warehouse Group may start selling beer
New Zealand-based Warehouse Group Ltd may start selling beer and wine in an attempt to expand is supermarket products portfolio, according to the New Zealand Herald publication from September 26.
The newspaper stated that the company has trademarked the name "The Warehouse Cellars" for beer and alcoholic drinks, mineral water, fruit juices and other non-alcoholic beverages. The company said, however, that no decision has yet been reached. The company has announced plans to launch hypermarkets in a bid to attract more customers and increase the sale of its general merchandise.
